September Niiza/West Tokyo Meeting to Discuss Depression
With the daily rain we have been having lately, I can understand why people get depressed sometimes. Even so, with rain or no rain, we have seen quite an increase the past several years on depression or melancholia (うつ病). In fact, according to rather recent article in a publication called Bio Medicine “a government study has found the number of employment-related suicides hit a record 65 in 2006, compared to 42 the previous year.”
In light of this situation, one of our members suggested this might be a suitable topic for our next meeting. Well, that sounds fine to us.
If you are interested in sharing your ideas about this issue or you want to find out what others think, please come to the September 14th meeting of the Niiza/West Tokyo chapter of eTLC. We are more than happy to have you join us.
Without a doubt, our meeting will be an excellent way to improve your English and a great excuse to spend a little time with our pleasant group of members. What better way is there to spend a Sunday afternoon?
