West Tokyo Meeting on December 16
For out last meeting in 2007, we have decided to talk about the proposed jury (saiban-in) system that will begin in 2009. It sounds like a difficult topic, but since none of us are lawyers, we will keep the discussion to a very basic level. To find out more about the topic, go to saiban-in or go to saiban-in posters.
In addition, since this is the last month of the 2007, we will have our annual year-end party. Like last year, the lesson portion of the meeting will be shorter than normal, then we will go to a local “izakaya” or a local restaurant to enjoy some food and drink together.
Overall, the topic may sound technical, but we will keep it very broad so that everyone can join in. After that, we will go out and enjoy the local cuisine in beautiful downtown Hibarigaoka. All in all, December’s meeting will be an excellent way to improve your English and a great way to share your time with our pleasant group of members. Simply, it will be a very nice and positive way to spend a Sunday in December.
TIME: 3:30-5:30pm
