Espionage and Love…perfect combo…August 20, 2011
Move over Angelia, Little Nikita, and all others of this genre. Make room for Nike!! This heroine has gone thru hell on Earth and comes thru strong, confident and a kick-ass killer. Without using any spoilers, this book takes a sweet young woman and follows her thru things wa all hope NEVER happen to a girl we know. She ends up on “the right side”, using her talents and skills to take care of business quickly and efficiently…until she come face to face with her past and the man whose sweet memory has kept her sane for the past years.
The characters in this book are deep, well developed individuals. You can feel what they feel, deeply. The love, the confusion, the angst come thru brilliantly. The story developes well, over years, allowing the characters to grow and learn about life, love and what really matters in this lifetime. I loved the action packed scenes, the sub-plots and supporting characters. I found myself wanting to know the supporting characters much better, looking forward to a sequel or series of books on this group of heroic agents.
This is a short but heartfelt review as I do not like to give away scenes and circumstances of the stories I review. I promise you, though, that Nike’s Wings is a wonderfully written and action packed story that teaches us about commitment to an ideal and to one another, as well as love.
